Excellent research, an impressive range of interviewees and fascinating archival footage of performances made the BBC's Classic Britannia a notable documentary on music in Britain in the last 60 years. The jury strongly urges broadcasters to ensure that the music of our time continues to be documented for television so that comparable footage of today's musical world is available 60 years from now.
